Leyla Sadeghi was born in Tehran. In 2003 she acquired her degree in sculpture from the Accademia di Belle Arti of Florence, Italy. She has lived in Iran, Italy, China and Spain, and is now based in Tangier.

Leyla prepares her own clay and glazes, keeping her process close to the earth. Nature is her main source of inspiration, and its shapes and textures find a calm, honest expression in her ceramics.
